2020 Mayor for a Day winners celebrated
Mayor Maurice Collison was pleased to present prizes to the 2020 ‘Mayor for a Day’ winners from Scone Grammar School at the primary assembly this week. First place was
awarded to Molly, with her plans to provide food and shelter to homeless people, care for the parks and fix the roads.The ‘Mayor for a Day’ competition is open to all primary schools in the Upper Hunter Shire, in 2020 we received more than 640 entries.
Due to COVID restrictions, this was the first available opportunity to present the awards.
The competition will return in 2021 as part of Local Government Week in August.
